About twenty minutes. There are no speaker stacks, no cable runs across the dance floor and no sound check. You need one plug socket near your music source and a surface to hand out headphones from.

How A Wedding Silent Disco Works
Setup takes about twenty minutes and needs one plug socket. Here is exactly what happens, from enquiry to collection.
1. Check your date
Send the date, venue and approximate evening guest numbers. Peak-season Devon Saturdays fill first, so early is better if your date is fixed.
2. Choose headphone numbers and channels
Most weddings take headphones for 70–80% of evening guests and use all three channels. We'll tell you honestly if fewer will do.
3. Decide on self-operate or operator
Self-operating means three prepared playlists and one person keeping an eye on the volume. An operator means nobody in your wedding party has a job.
4. Delivery
Within 10 miles of Exeter we deliver and collect in person. Elsewhere in Devon the kit travels by free courier, arriving a day or two before the wedding.
5. Setup on site
Plug the transmitter into power and into your laptop, phone or DJ controller. Put the headphone cases somewhere guests can reach them — a bar end or side table works well.
6. Hand out and announce
Guests take part far more readily when someone explains it from the microphone. Announce the channel colours before the first headphone song.
7. Run the night
Guests switch channels and volume themselves. Take the headphones off during a big chorus at least once — it is the moment everyone films.
8. Collection
Headphones back in the cases at the end of the night. We collect, or the courier does, with a prepaid return.

The two questions everyone asks
How do guests change channel?
A button on the headphone cup cycles between channels, and the LED colour changes to match — so anyone can see what everyone else is listening to. Volume is a separate control on the same ear cup, set individually by each guest.
