Should a silent disco be the main wedding entertainment or an afterparty?
Either can work. As the main entertainment it gives guests multiple music choices all evening; as an afterparty it is especially useful when normal speakers must stop or you want a dramatic second phase.
For most weddings, the decision should follow the venue's restrictions and the couple's desired atmosphere rather than a fixed rule.
