Noise, limiters & curfews

What is the difference between a sound limiter and a music curfew?

A sound limiter controls or cuts amplified sound when a set level is exceeded. A music curfew is a time after which music must stop or change. A venue can have either or both.

Silent disco may help with each in different ways, but it does not change the venue's closing time or licence. Always ask which restriction actually applies.
