Running A Silent Disco Wedding Afterparty
The afterparty is the most common reason Devon couples book headphones: the venue's music has to stop and nobody wants the night to end.
Size it for the people still standing
Late in the night you rarely need a headphone for every evening guest, but running short is worse than having spares. One per evening guest plus about ten per cent is the rule we give couples, and the package finder does that maths for you.
The handover
Announce it during the last amplified song, hand out from an open, staffed table, and start all three channels the moment the speakers go quiet. Name the channel colours in the announcement so nobody stands still pressing buttons.
Ending well
Pick a genuine last song rather than letting the night trail off, and decide in advance who collects the headphones into the cases. If the venue clears the room at a fixed time, brief that person before the bar closes.
